Healthcare recruiters need to understand your qualifications quickly. A focused resume makes your profession, registration status, clinical experience and fit easy to verify.

Lead with a precise summary

Use two or three lines to state your profession, relevant experience, strongest clinical areas and registration or eligibility status. Avoid claims that are not supported elsewhere.

Make credentials easy to find

Create a section for licences, registrations, certifications, education and required training. Include the issuing body and current status. If registration is underway, describe it accurately.

Describe scope and results

For each recent role, identify the setting, patient population, team, responsibilities and relevant systems. Add examples of improvements, leadership, teaching or quality initiatives without revealing confidential information.

Tailor every application

Use language from the posting where it truthfully matches your experience. Put relevant work first, remove unrelated detail and briefly address major gaps. International applicants can explain unfamiliar institutions or credentials.

Keep the format simple

Use clear headings, consistent dates, readable type and a standard file format. Avoid decorative charts, photographs and unrelated personal details. Before applying, match every key requirement with evidence in your resume.
